Less than a year ago I was a student, disappointed of the University I chose. I was still hoping to learn as much as possible in the web design field. I found them by chance, sent them my resume, and they contacted me the very same evening - I was surprised by the promptitude in the quick response. The first person that I met was Andreea, who made a good first impression. The next day I visited them on a very quiet and peaceful street.
I stepped into a dark room where everything seemed pretty freaky; of course things looked that way because of my own thrills too. The interview was intimidating, although everyone tried to be very friendly. I tried to impress them, although I didn’t have a very extensive portfolio, but they were interested in me both on a personal and professional level.
After the interview, the manager gave me a tour of the office, to meet my new colleagues. I didn’t have any impression about them at that point, but I noticed that they were all very young, and outnumbered what I was expecting. A very confusing detail for someone who meets these people is that the manager seams the youngest. But of course this is only at first sight.
After one week I had my own office, and the first couple of days I only got easy tasks to complete, giving me some time to adjust. The affable colleagues, always willing to help me in any situation, relaxing atmosphere and pleasant moments made me feel like home in no time. Parties, birthdays, trainings and everything we do together unite this team.
The design seminars we have each week are very useful - I learn a lot of valuable things for my field of interest, they are also a good place for discussions, in a very relaxed atmosphere. These seminars together with some of the projects show that the scope of the company is to help form designers, and enrich their knowledge. This is not a static environment, but a very dynamic one which keeps me “growing” all the time.
Some projects are a pleasure to work on; they keep you involved in many ways, stir your creativity and teach you new things. But there are other projects that require only execution work.
Some of the projects that I enjoyed working on were the logo I created for Tonik, the layout for our website and many other. My patience was challenged by some other projects that were practically invading my schedule.
Although I don’t work here for such a long time, I can say that I found my place among some very trustworthy people and in a dynamic environment and I am looking forward to the years to come.
